Serving Collinsville

Collinsville lies about twenty miles north of Tulsa on State Highway 20. For most residents the drive to our Midtown office runs around half an hour, joining Highway 75 south.

The town dates to the late 1890s, and it has the unusual distinction of having changed counties: originally part of Rogers County, its citizens voted in 1918 to be annexed to Tulsa County in order to sit closer to a county seat. Its boom came from zinc. The Bartlesville Zinc and Prime Western smelters opened on the southern edge of town in 1911 and ran at scale until 1917, pushing the area population to around 3,800 by 1920.

What is left of that era is a compact historic downtown, now given over to antique stores, boutiques, and restaurants, and the Carnegie library built in 1917, which still operates as a branch of the Tulsa City-County Library.

What we see most from Collinsville

Collinsville is a small town with a long settled population, and the most common thing we hear from patients driving in from there is that they wanted a practice where the same dentist sees them every time. That is the arrangement here, because Dr. Hanna owns the practice and treats the patients.

None of that means we only do one thing for one town. It is simply the pattern, and it is worth saying out loud because it tells you what your neighbours found useful about driving here.

Everything in one office

Diamond Dental is family owned and locally run, not part of a chain. Cleanings and deep cleanings, crowns, fillings, veneers, clear aligners, TMJ treatment, injectables, implants, extractions, and wisdom teeth all happen in this office. For a Collinsville family that is the difference between solving a problem on the trip you already made and starting a second one on the other side of Tulsa.

Dr. Mariam Hanna earned her DDS at Howard University College of Dentistry and completed a one year general practice residency in sedation and oral surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center. That training is the reason surgical and sedation cases stay here rather than being referred on, including patients on several medications or with conditions that need watching during a procedure.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, which is the training behind the TMJ treatment and injectables offered here.

If the dentist is not somewhere you enjoy going

Two things keep people away, and they are cost and a bad experience somewhere else. We quote treatment before starting it, and nobody here will comment on how long it has been since your last visit.

Nitrous gas is available the same day for most appointments and oral sedation can be arranged in advance. There is also a therapy dog, blankets, and iPads, and you can ask for any of it at check in without giving a reason. The comfort menu page sets out the lot.

New patients from Collinsville

The new patient visit is $125 for an adult and $90 for a child, covering the exam, digital X-rays, and a cleaning. Gum measurements are taken at that appointment, because that is what tells us whether a standard cleaning is right for you or whether gum disease needs treating first.

We accept most PPO plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, MetLife, and Delta, and our team handles the back and forth with the insurance company. If you do not have dental insurance, ask about Smile Club, our in house monthly membership. The current offers page lists what is included.

Families from Collinsville regularly book several appointments back to back so one drive covers everybody. Ask for that when you call and we will arrange it.

Bring your insurance card, a list of any medications you take including over the counter ones, and the name of your previous dentist if you have records worth transferring. If you are in pain or something has broken, say so when you book rather than waiting until you arrive, because that changes how much time we set aside for you.
