Diamond Dental is owned and run by Dr. Mariam Hanna. She is not a rotating associate and there is no corporate group above her setting daily targets or deciding how long your appointment is allowed to take.
That single fact drives most of the rest. Appointments are booked with enough time to explain things. Treatment plans are what she would do, not what a quota requires. If a tooth can be watched rather than treated today, you get told that, and a practice with monthly production targets has a harder time saying it.
Almost everything happens in one office
Dr. Hanna completed a one year general practice residency in sedation and oral surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center after earning her DDS at Howard University College of Dentistry. That training is why cases many general practices refer out are handled here.
Cleanings, crowns, veneers, clear aligners, TMJ treatment, implants, extractions, wisdom teeth, and sedation all happen under one roof. For you that means fewer appointments, one set of records, and the person who diagnosed the problem being the person who treats it. Nothing gets handed off halfway and restarted.
You hear the price before treatment starts
Cost is one of the two reasons people avoid the dentist, and vagueness about it makes that worse. Treatment is quoted before it begins. Our team checks your benefits and deals with the insurance company directly rather than leaving you to work out what is covered.
We accept most PPO plans, and for people without insurance the Smile Club membership covers routine care for a flat monthly payment with no claim forms and no annual maximum.
A judgement free office, meant literally
The other reason people stay away is a bad experience somewhere else. Nobody here will comment on how long it has been since your last visit. We deal with what is bothering you first and then plan the rest in an order that fits your life and your budget.
Anxiety is treated as a normal thing to have rather than an inconvenience. Nitrous gas is available the same day for most appointments and oral sedation can be arranged in advance. There is also a therapy dog, blankets, and iPads, and you can ask for any of it at check in without explaining yourself.
Your mouth is treated as part of your health
Gum disease, grinding, and untreated infection all show up elsewhere in the body. A healthy mouth leads to a healthy life is the way the practice puts it, and in practice it means you get told what your mouth is saying about the rest of your health, and why a deep cleaning is a medical recommendation rather than an upsell.
