Botox and lip filler in Tulsa

Injectables placed by a dentist who works on this part of the face every day and plans it around your smile.

Diamond Dental offers cosmetic Botox and lip filler alongside dental treatment. Dr. Hanna is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, which is where the training for this work comes from.

Why a dentist

Dentists spend their careers working with the muscles, nerves, and proportions of the lower face. They give injections around those structures daily, and they are used to planning the area around a smile rather than in isolation.

That matters most with lips. Lip filler that ignores the teeth behind it can look wrong when you smile, because the lip and the tooth line have to work together. Planning both at once is the argument for having it done where your dental work happens.

Botox for cosmetics

Cosmetic Botox softens lines that come from repeated muscle movement, most often across the forehead, between the brows, and at the outer corners of the eyes. Small amounts relax the muscle so the skin above it creases less.

The appointment is short. Results appear over about one to two weeks and then wear off gradually, so treatment is repeated. The aim here is a softened look rather than a frozen one, and dosing is conservative on a first visit because it is easy to add and impossible to take away.

Lip filler

Lip filler adds volume and shape using a hyaluronic acid gel. It is used to restore fullness that has thinned over time, to balance a top and bottom lip that do not match, to define the border, or to soften fine lines around the mouth.

Restraint is the whole skill. Lips are planned in proportion to your face and your smile line, and it is normal to build up gradually across more than one appointment rather than doing everything at once. Mild swelling and occasional bruising for a few days afterward are normal.

Botox for cosmetics and for TMJ

Botox is used two different ways here. Cosmetic treatment is about lines in the upper face. TMJ treatment places it in the chewing muscles to reduce clenching force, jaw pain, and tension headaches. Some patients have both, and if you came in for one and the other applies to you, we will say so.

Before you book

Injectables are medical treatments. Your health history, medications, and what you want changed are all reviewed at a consultation first, and if you are not a good candidate you will be told that plainly.

Common questions

The questions patients ask us most about this treatment, answered plainly.

How long does lip filler last

Hyaluronic acid filler in the lips generally lasts several months and varies by person and by product. Your own metabolism, the amount placed, and how much movement the area gets all affect it. Dr. Hanna will give you an expectation for your specific treatment at the consultation.

Is it normal for lips to swell afterward

Yes. Some swelling in the first day or two is expected and bruising is possible. It is worth avoiding a treatment appointment immediately before an event you care about.

Can I have Botox for wrinkles and for jaw clenching at the same time

They are different treatment areas with different purposes, and they can be planned together at one consultation. Cosmetic dosing treats lines in the upper face, while TMJ dosing goes into the chewing muscles to reduce clenching force.
