Serving Inola

Inola is a Rogers County town at the southern end of State Highway 88, about twenty eight miles east of Tulsa. It is the furthest of the communities we regularly see patients from, and the drive to Midtown generally runs around thirty five minutes.

The name is a Cherokee word meaning Black Fox. For most of the nineteenth century the area sat in the north eastern part of the Creek Nation, and the town grew after the Kansas and Arkansas Valley Railway built through in 1889. Inola got its postal designation in March 1890. By 1911 it had a bank, two hotels, eight general stores, a lumberyard, a blacksmith, and a school system with eleven teachers, supported by farming, oil, and coal.

Agriculture is still the identity. Inola styles itself the Hay Capital of the World, and the surrounding country is hay and cattle ground.

What we see most from Inola

A thirty five minute drive is only worth making once. That is the honest reason Inola families come here: with cleanings, crowns, extractions, wisdom teeth, sedation, and implants all in one office, a problem usually gets solved on the trip you already made rather than starting a second one.

None of that means we only do one thing for one town. It is simply the pattern, and it is worth saying out loud because it tells you what your neighbours found useful about driving here.

Everything in one office

Diamond Dental is family owned and locally run, not part of a chain. Cleanings and deep cleanings, crowns, fillings, veneers, clear aligners, TMJ treatment, injectables, implants, extractions, and wisdom teeth all happen in this office. For a Inola family that is the difference between solving a problem on the trip you already made and starting a second one on the other side of Tulsa.

Dr. Mariam Hanna earned her DDS at Howard University College of Dentistry and completed a one year general practice residency in sedation and oral surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center. That training is the reason surgical and sedation cases stay here rather than being referred on, including patients on several medications or with conditions that need watching during a procedure.

She is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, which is the training behind the TMJ treatment and injectables offered here.

If the dentist is not somewhere you enjoy going

Two things keep people away, and they are cost and a bad experience somewhere else. We quote treatment before starting it, and nobody here will comment on how long it has been since your last visit.

Nitrous gas is available the same day for most appointments and oral sedation can be arranged in advance. There is also a therapy dog, blankets, and iPads, and you can ask for any of it at check in without giving a reason. The comfort menu page sets out the lot.

New patients from Inola

The new patient visit is $125 for an adult and $90 for a child, covering the exam, digital X-rays, and a cleaning. Gum measurements are taken at that appointment, because that is what tells us whether a standard cleaning is right for you or whether gum disease needs treating first.

We accept most PPO plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, MetLife, and Delta, and our team handles the back and forth with the insurance company. If you do not have dental insurance, ask about Smile Club, our in house monthly membership. The current offers page lists what is included.

Families from Inola regularly book several appointments back to back so one drive covers everybody. Ask for that when you call and we will arrange it.

Bring your insurance card, a list of any medications you take including over the counter ones, and the name of your previous dentist if you have records worth transferring. If you are in pain or something has broken, say so when you book rather than waiting until you arrive, because that changes how much time we set aside for you.
